McDonald's in Finland Launches 'El Veggo'

Earlier this week,an American fast food company launched the second vegan burger in Finland called ‘El Veggo’.  This burger is the vegan version of one of McDonald’s famous meat-based burger El Maco.

This type of improvement to a menu of such a large chain company gives other vegans and I hope that we are getting accepted even more every day in this world.  Sometimes it is hard to go out with a group of friends and go to a particular restaurant and have no clue what to eat as there is a limited option for vegans.  At least McDonald’s and other large chains such as Wagamama and Nando’s are giving people the option to have a plant-based meal and gives them more encouragement and confidence to eat out rather than to be ashamed or shy.
Plant-based diets can be beneficial and healthy for us, as long as they are balanced and nutritionally adequate just like every other lifestyle.  Before starting this lifestyle, one needs to do their research and get some guidance from either a dietician or friends that have gone through this transition before.  It is important to be informed properly how to prepare your meals as you don't want to leave out anything important such as grains, protein, vegetables and fruits, fats and so on.

This is the second time that McDonald’s launched a vegan burger as the first time was in October 2017 in Tampere Finland.  This soy-based patty created by Nordic group Orkla made a huge success as it sold 150,000 vegan burgers in the Nordic region.
